The clock
changes at the border.
From early October to early April, New South Wales runs on daylight saving and Queensland does not.
A three o'clock pick up in Byron Bay is two o'clock on a Gold Coast clock. On a booking with a $100 per fifteen minutes late fee, that misunderstanding is expensive, and it is the single most common mistake on cross border jobs.
So we confirm every cross border booking in one stated time zone, and we write that zone on the quote. It costs nothing and it has saved more than one wedding morning.

How far will you travel?
From Brisbane down to Ballina, which is about 186 kilometres of the M1 corridor. The Gold Coast is home and most jobs start here.
Do you cross the New South Wales border?
Yes. Tweed Heads, Kingscliff, Byron Bay, Lennox Head, Ballina and Lismore are all part of the run.
What does a trip outside the Gold Coast cost?
Bookings that start or finish outside the Gold Coast are quoted with the travel time included and a minimum hire. The whole figure is on your quote before you pay anything.
Why does the time zone matter?
From early October to early April, New South Wales observes daylight saving and Queensland does not. A three o'clock pick up in Byron Bay is two o'clock on a Gold Coast clock, so every cross border booking is confirmed in one stated time zone.
Do you go to Tamborine Mountain?
Yes. It is 44 kilometres and about 46 minutes from Surfers Paradise, and it is where the hinterland tour days go.
